Dr. Howard Winter believes that dentistry today not only changes smiles but can also change lives.
After practicing dentistry in Queens, NY for the last fifteen years, Dr. Winter joined forces with Dr. Neil Berman in May 2004 to bring his expertise and extensive level of care to patients in the Five Towns and the South Shore of Long Island.
Dr. Winter has known Dr. Neil since they went to Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine together. Prior to attending Dental School, Dr. Winter received his Bachelors of Science cum laude from Yeshiva University of New York. |

After graduating from Stony Brook with honors in 1989, Dr. Winter completed a General Practice Residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Queens County Dental Society.
"Helping people, caring for patients, and building lasting relationships," says Dr. Winter, is the keystone to his dental practice success. He listens to each patient's concerns, providing optimal treatment and personalized care for that individual in a gentle manner.
For Dr. Winter, nothing comes before the needs of his patients and the desire for him to perform at his very best. In that regard, he consistently expands his Continuing Education horizons. At present, he is committed to studying at the renowned L.D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, advancing his knowledge and training in Comprehensive and Occlusal Dentistry. Dr. Winter regularly attends lectures and symposiums throughout the year on the latest treatments in Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry as well as in Implant Dentistry.
Along with his wife and three lovely daughters, Dr. Winter finds time to enjoy the community in which he lives. He is involved in local charitable institutions, enjoys a good game of golf and can often be found power walking down Central Avenue or the Atlantic Beach boardwalk.
Addressing children at local schools on the importance of good oral health is a key facet to Dr. Winter's commitment to dentistry. By educating young children about the significance of taking care of their teeth now, Dr. Winter wants to make sure they will benefit for years to come.
